"Ring!"the school bell rang.All the pupils packed their bags anxiously and the sound of pushing or pulling of chairs could be heard everywhere in the school.As there was not much homework,I decidedto go my favourite hobby shop to see if there is any new arrival on toy car motors.
"Hi, Tom!I bet you are looking for new arrivals right! There is one ay the back."said the shopowner ,mr Lai,with a warm smile. I quickly rushed to the back to see how the the toy car motor look like.It had bright colours.As I was looking at it , I noticed a teenager acting suspiciously.He kept looking around as if he wanted to do something bad without wanting anyone knowing. At that moment , I saw him stretch out his hand , took one of the more expensive toy car motor and slipped it into his pocket.Then he started walking to the entrance door .I immediately cried out ," Shoplifting!Shoplifting!" When he knew that he had been caught red-handed,he quickly ran away .Some passer-by heard my cries and went to chase after him.
Not long later ,the teenager was brought back.Mr Lai asked,"Why did you steal at such a young age?You might go to jail!"The teenager replied,"I am from a poor family.One week ago , my father lose all our money because of gambling and he even owe the loansharks a thousand dollars.Now my father had learned his mistakes and is looking for a job."He started sobbing after saying this.
We felt sorry for him and wanted to help him,but did not know how to help.Just then mr Lai exclaimed,"I know an idea!I an lent you a thousand dollars but your father has to work for me."We all agreed that it was a great idea.Mr Lai asked the teenager for his father's number.Then he called his father and told him the plan.His father agreed and said that he would start working the very next day.Everyone was happy and mr Lai wanted the teenager to promise that he will never do things that is against the law before mr Lai let him go.
